Video A will wrap up and export their Biotechnology Film. We will learn how to make a LiveType title and how to add transitions. Next week will be learning various camera shots and how to make a 5 x 5 film. The 5 x 5 film is a film comprised of 5 video clips that are exactly 5 seconds long. We will explore and use 5 different camera angles and learn 4 different ways to edit video clips in FCE. The timing has to be exact on this project so the students learn to edit with down to the second with intention. Homework will go home on Friday and the Math warm up will be on Thursday.
Video B will wrap up the Music Video and export it. We will model how to film using the green screen and the students will practice placing Mr. Fannin in some strange alternate location using FCE. This Chroma Key Practice will need to be done by all students and exported to the EXPORTS folder. Homework will go home on Friday and the Math warm up will be on Thursday. The Homework will involve watching TV. The students need to recognize what a “Hook” is and how producers use the intended audience to hook them into the production. We will do some examples in class so they fully understand what they are looking for.
Video C will wrap up the Music Video and export it. We will model how to shoot a stop motion video using people on Thursday and clay on Friday. Many examples will be shown and the students will begin planning their Stop Motion film. Options for the Stop Motion are- Paper, Clay, Legos or other toys, Whiteboard, Candy or 2D animation. Homework will go home on Friday and the Math warm up will be on Thursday.
