Video A, B, C – Week 6, January 20th

Essential Question: What visual and auditory elements are used to create meaning?

Monday: We will enjoy a couple of films using Martin Luther Jr’s message both artistically and academically. The videos we will watch are,

Today students who correctly exported their films to be graded will receive feedback in which to use to make changes to their film. Please watch your export to make sure it exported correctly. I will regrade these everyday this week. They MUST be exported correctly to be graded. The directions are taped in every edit room and around all computers in the main room. If you have any questions ask me and I will help you. Please follow the directions completely.

Video A: students will be exporting their Biotech film, because only a small fraction did so last week when they were asked to. They then must complete the Storyboard of “Not Easy Being Green” and the Script of “Pollo Comparo”. They can film their first 5×5 when these are completed. If they finish their first 5×5 they can storyboard their Intentional 5×5 (5×5 #2). The 5 x 5’s will be graded next marking period.

The VP studio is open Tuesday after school for any student who wishes to get extra help.

Homework will go home on Thursday (because of the half day on Friday). It will not be due until next week.

Video B: students will make changes to their film per the feedback from me. You must export your film to the 3rd hour EXPORT folder, not your student folder. Please watch your export to make sure it exported correctly. If your Pre-Production paperwork has been approved by me, then you can begin filming. If you need special props, let me know.

Video C: students will make changes to their film per the feedback from me. You must export your film to the 3rd hour EXPORT folder, not your student folder. Please watch your export to make sure it exported correctly. If your Pre-Production paperwork has been approved by me, then you can begin shooting the still images for your stop motion. Remember you need to tighten down your tripod, don’t move the framing for at least 20-30 pictures before you change the framing. Make sure your set is not cluttered. If you take a blurry photograph, re-take it. YOU MUST USE A TRIPOD!
