2nd Trimester, Week 1, Video C, December 2nd

What visual elements are used to create meaning?

Monday:

Students will watch student examples of the film projects to be made during this 12 week course. Students will be reacquainted with the Video Production Studio’s Behavior Expectations and Consequences. Students will also understand the tardy policy and the consequences. Students will create student folders on the Imac computers. If time permits and students all complete student folders and they will then successfully save a “hi” message to their student folder.

Tuesday:

Students will review the Video Production Studio’s behavior expectations and consequences, as well as the tardy policy. Students will take the Pre-test for Video C so that instructional decisions can be made to improve the program and student’s success.  If time permits and students all complete student folders and they will continue to successfully save a “hi” message to their student folder.

Wednesday through Friday:

Students will review the Video Production Studio’s behavior expectations and consequences, as well as the tardy policy. Students will watch an example of camera shots and we will go over every shot. Students will work with a friend and successfully frame each camera shot for video C. Every student will shoot their own shots. The students may star in other’s camera shots, but to receive credit they must actually shoot the camera shots themselves.

Friday: Quiz over the Behavior Expectations and Consequences. Homework will go home.
