2nd Trimester- Video A- Week 1 (Dec. 6)

Standards:

Use appropriate technology terminology.

Discuss common hardware and software difficulties and identify strategies for trouble-shooting and problem solving.

Use visuals to express ideas and convey meanings to others.

Use adequate picture type for message/content.

Objectives:

Understand the Behavior Expectations and Consequences for the Video Production Studio. Locate and save paperwork in the student folder.

1. Students will go over Behavior Expectations and Consequences of the Video Production Studio.

2. Students will fill out an information sheet and correctly file it in their student folder.

Tuesday:

Objectives: Understand the Behavior Expectations and Consequences for the Video Production Studio. Understand the imac, storage and personal responsibility in correctly saving media.

1. Students will hand in Behavior Contract.

2. Students will create a folder for all 4 films.

Wednesday:

Objective: Understand the Behavior Expectations and Consequences for the Video Production Studio. Explore Informational Film examples to understand effective elements used to create dynamic videos.

1. As a group watch several Biotech videos and discuss effective use of information, visuals, audio, transitions, etc.

2. With a partner evaluate a Biotech video noting the effective elements used.

Thursday and Friday:

Objectives: Understand the Behavior Expectations and Consequences for the Video Production Studio. Discuss the topic for the Biotech film. Explain the Research guide and how to use the internet to get needed information. Understand plagiarism and learn how to paraphrase.

1. Students will begin researching their Biotech topic with a partner.

Friday:

Quiz on Behavior Expectations and Consequences.

Homework: Paraphrasing
